Chapter 10 Introduction and Outcomes

Welcome to Chapter 10! 

Introduction

In this chapter,  our focus will be on:

  • The comparison of two items.　AのほうがBより～
  •  The comparison of three or more items.　Aがいちばん～
  • Adjectives/noun +の　あかいの；ゆきこさんの
  • To intent ～つもりだ　べんきょうするつもりだ。
  • To become ～なる　大きくなる。きれいになる。
  • The particle で(ways; means）バスで行きます。
  • Kanji and new vocabulary.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of chapter 10 you should be able to：

  • Identify the comparison patterns AのほうがBより Property.　Aがいちばん Property.
  • Recognize  the importance of the ～つもりだ in Japanese language and  where to use the～ つもりだ in a sentence. also how to use ～つもりだto talk about future plans.
  • Recognize  the importance of the ～なる in Japanese language and identify  where to use　～なる in a sentence.
  • Identify particleで, and talking about means of transportation and the time required. 
  • Identify fifteen more kanji characters and be able to use them in writing, and memorize the new vocabulary．

  Chapter ８ Introduction and Outcomes Welcome to Chapter 8!  Introduction First, I would like to  introduce you to a new paradigm of conjugation called the “Short Forms"  Our focus will be on: Verb Short Forms (present tense), affirmative and negative.（食べる→食べない；よむ→よまない；くる→こない；する→しない） Adjectives and noun Short Forms (present tense), affirmative and negative. （かわいい→かわいくない；しずかだ→しずかじゃない；学生だ→学生じゃない） How to use Short Forms to make : casual conversations.
