Overview -- Chapter 6 Introduction and Outcomes-2

  Chapter 6 Introduction and Outcomes Welcome to Chapter 6!  Introduction F irst of all,  I would like to  introduce you to a new verb conjugation called the “te -form.”   Te-forms are a very important part of Japanese grammar. Our focus will be on : How to conjugate the verbs into “te-forms”------たべて、よんで How to use the “te-form” to create various expressions in Japanese culturally appropriate manner.   For example:  ”Please do…..”  ~て/でください   “May I ….?; “     “You may …”  ~て/でもいいです   “ You must not…”    ~て/ではいけません   “ I am doing…”    ~て/でいます   "I do this" and  "I do that"    ~て/で~ Below it's a video about how to use the “te-form” to create various expressions.
