Chapter 11 Introduction and Outcomes
Welcome to Chapter 11!
Introduction
In chapter 11 , our focus will be on:
- How to use the verb stem + たいto describe your hope or desires. (~見たい I want to see..、~行きたい I want to go ...)
- How to use the pattern ~たり 、~たりする/します, to suggests that the things referred to are proposed as examples. (食べたり、 飲んだりします. I'll eat and drink, etc.)
- How to use the verb past tense short form +ことがある/ありますto describe that you did something in earlier time, or have the experience.(日本に行ったことがある/あります。I have been to Japan.)
- The particle や.(AやB, for example. )(京都や東京に行きました。I went to Kyoto and Tokyo for example.)
- Learning more vocabulary and kanji.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of chapter 11 you should be able to:
- Recognize the importance of the verb stem + たい, and how to use it to describe your desire or hope.
- Identify the patterns~たり、~たりする/します, and how to use it in a sentence.
- Recognize the importance of the ~ことがある/ありますin Japanese language and where to use ~ことがある/あります in a sentence. also how to use ~ことがある/ありますto talk about your experience of the past.
- Identify the particleや, and how to use it in a sentence.
- Talking about home towns.
- Asking about childhood dreams and ambitions.
- Identify fifteen more kanji characters and be able to use them in writing, and memorize the new vocabulary.
